Friday

Look at this great photo ... I'm going to paint it, I just love it! I took this snap 2 Fridays ago in Italy .... wow 2 Fridays ago already! Time zips by! Been back at work and I find it is always a little bit of a mess when you go away no matter how hard you try and set it up for success when you are gone. Seems like you have taken a few steps back and have to work extra hard to get things back on track. No wonder North Americans only take two weeks, it's so much work after holiday! or vacation I should say ... still gotta love the 5 week deal over here! Going to a friends for dinner tonight, she is cooking I just have to bring the wine ... big treat! They guys have gone to the Jazz and beer fest in the gardens ... I am sure they are having a blast.

Okay, I am going to put up some more snaps of our trip to Italy. As I look at the images from the trip I can hardly believe that we did these things and explored these places. Moments in time that pass far too fast. I am trying so hard to hold on to every sight, smell, sound and taste from the experience. I am looking back and remembering a wonderful day ... We started off in the village of Pontremoli ( snaps further down) and then through word of mouth found this river with deep pools to jump into and waterfalls. It was great ... I think it was Ben's and Andy's fav!

We met this wonderful lady and her friends at the river. She was from Paris, that is her on the left ... Ben is heading for the water fall.
I am sure Maria will hate this photo ... she looks kind of funny... we found this great little wine shop and love the way it was set up. Maria is sussing out the sitch.

I loved all the doors they were to unique.
Looking over one of the many bridges in the village.
A walk through the village market.

Back at the river ... It was so wonderful to rest on the warm rocks after such a cold dip.

That splash is Ben going in ... you can see Andy on the far right.

Here goes Ben, look at that waterfall. The guys all climbed over the rocks and went under it.

Some push ups in the cold water.

Okay I just love this photo ... It is such a great moment.

We loved our picnics ... collecting great cheese, bread wine meats and olives then finding the most wonderful place to stop and enjoy them.

A quote from the great Lucy B
"I would rather regret the things that I have done than the things I have not"
Such a great quote! makes you really think .... and think some more.

Remembering Genoa

Have to bust it to work so don't have much time but thought I would post some snaps of Genoa. It was a beautiful day ... long drive in the car from the house.

Stopping for some water

Love this snap! They look great!

Remembering another great day in Italy before going back to work.

Well back to work today ... back to the grind! ha ha! Thought I would take a look at another great day we spent in Italy ... If I look one day at a time I will saver the memory ... I hope. This snap is the view from our deck at the house ... WOW! I loved it.

The older people next door had a problem with the tomato plants ... they all fell over. Andy and Ben went over to help ... They could not speak English but they understood that the guys wanted to help them put in new posts.

They offered us a bunch of beautiful tomatoes, nothing tastes like a vine ripe tomato from a garden in Italy!

This is looking over the bridge in Bagnone, it was amazing.

Off for another adventure ....this little truck was parked outside the house.

This is in Corniglia. The drive up and around and around the mountains was so fun and the town so beautiful.

Grapes all over the hills

Down to the water ... a major climb

We had to have ice cream after all that.

I shared mine with a little cat. Okay cats are all over the place and they are kind of like pets, people feed them at times but they are not pets really live on the streets....it killed me.

Okay check out this wine bar in Corniglia ... so cute

They use this thing to get the grapes up and off the hills ... you can see the lead cables running along the hills. We bought a bottle of wine from the area and met with the wine maker at his little wine bar.
